Al Fredricks Return was founded by Ms. Veronica Williams, who has been proclaimed “The People’s Advocate.” We are a prison consulting firm designed to aid lock-up facilities across the United States by promoting gang renouncement programs and processes. The idea to start this organization came from her youngest son, Al-Fredrick, who she lost to senseless gun violence. This tragic loss is what planted the seeds in her mind to work with the local gangs and across the United States.
Since the demise of her son in 2005, Ms. Veronica Williams’ commitment, dedication, and service to the community of those in the gang lifestyle has expanded its reach in many ways. Having spent the last five years of her employment as the Supervisor of Gang Reunification and Dissociation for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Ms. Williams worked diligently with Security Threat Group (STG) teams at several prisons, giving occupants the opportunity for positive futures and outcomes. Ms. Williams also presented at the National Gang and Crime Research Center (NGCRC) conference for several years in Chicago, Illinois and was the recipient of the Milton C. Thrasher Award in the year 2020. She is an author, consultant, mentor, workshop presenter, and encourager who looks forward daily to helping others. Her latest book, “Out of the Ditch in 30,” is now available for purchase.
At Al Fredricks Return, we’re always looking for donations and dedicated volunteers to assist in the work we do. If you’re ready to make a difference in your community, find out how you get involved below.
